This Booking Is Now Non Refundable
They are offering dates to rebook between july and sept.
This booking is now non refundable. A non refundable booking is simply what it say s it is use it or lose it unless the provider gives some sort of waiver. You may be able to claim on your travel insurance if the fco advice against travel subject to the policy terms the fact you paid by credit card is only relevant if the hotel ceases trading. I will try to make this into a positive and contact the product manager of the non refunadable rate and make some suggestions on the wording of the emails and ask them to review they way they handle a dispute.
It was a non refundable deal but due to the coronavirus restrictions the hotel has had to cancel the dates i booked. In simon s case he found that the non refundable bookings he made earlier in the year were on average now 35 cheaper. If they cancelled on me am i entitled to a refund rather than just an option to rebook at another time.
I suggest you speak to them on the phone rather than relying on the plethora of online dead ends that folk are experiencing. I know i made the booking under the title non refundable but my understanding is that i am not entitled to a refund only if i am the one to cancel the booking. The hotel has contacted me to inform me that they will not be open for business during my stay because of the coronavirus.
