Disney vacation club owners can book accommodations at their home resort the resort which they physically own up to 11 months prior to arrival. When the online booking window opens at 8 00 am eastern time you can book a stay of up to 7 consecutive nights. Your booking window gives you the ability to make reservations up to 11 months in advance of your check in date at your home resort and 7 months in advance of your check in date at all other disney vacation club resorts.

When you reach the 7 month mark switch your reservation to the dvc resort you want. You are best to find dvc members you can trade points with at the 11 month mark.
